Get to know Adam!
Born and raised in Winnipeg, Adam is proud to call this city home. Born in the North End in 1983, at the corner of St. Cross and Polson, he grew up in a hardworking middle-class family that instilled in him the values of service, community, and accountability.
His father, a former University of Manitoba Bison and Winnipeg Blue Bomber, dedicated his career to the City of Winnipeg as the head of the training and development. His mother served as the Executive Director of the Manitoba Child Care Association, where she championed quality early childhood education and developed recreational programming that enriched the lives of children across the province. From an early age, Adam gained a unique appreciation for how local government impacts everyday families and the importance of investing in youth and strong communities.
Growing up, Adam was actively involved in community sports with the North Winnipeg Nomads and volunteered at many of Winnipeg’s most celebrated events, including Caripeg and the Festival of Lights. These experiences fostered a lifelong belief that strong neighbourhoods are built by people who step up, lend a hand, and take pride in where they live.
In 2004, Adam entered the plumbing trade, beginning a career that has now spanned more than two decades. His hands-on experience working with Winnipeg’s infrastructure has given him firsthand knowledge of the challenges facing our city’s aging waterworks systems. More importantly, it has provided him with practical insight into the solutions needed to modernize infrastructure, improve reliability, and ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely.
Since moving to Glenelm in 2016, Adam has experienced the unique strengths and challenges of the community. Having lived in Glenelm, Elmwood, and now East Kildonan, he understands the concerns residents face every day—from neighbourhood safety and crime to infrastructure, traffic, and community development. He has seen how the movement of crime across the area’s bridges affects families and businesses and believes every resident deserves to feel safe in their own neighbourhood.
Adam isn’t running for City Council because he sees problems—he’s running because he believes they can be solved. He brings practical experience, a strong work ethic, and a lifelong commitment to Winnipeg. His goal is to build safer neighbourhoods, strengthen infrastructure, support local families and businesses, and ensure City Hall delivers results with transparency, accountability, and common sense.
